Today was the monthly coaching session at the Whiteleaf Bowmen, the archery club that I belong to. I thought that it would be best to go to a coaching session to make sure everything was working correctly before I went to a proper club night and I’m glad that I did – I would have [...]

Today I had an absolutely lovely day. One of those days that leaves you happy, a bit achey and really pleased with your achievements.
The major achievement was walking four whole, entire miles. The walk even included a bit of uphill walking.

It must be convention season. I’ve just read entries in a forum all excited about two different conventions that happened over the weekend and they all sounded like terrific fun.

Last night I unravelled my scarf after a week of knitting because the dratted thing was turning into an oversized shawl. I’ve started again with half the number of stitches and [...]
Visit to the rheumatologist: aka how not to scream (just)

So yesterday was my trip the rheumatologist.
As regular readers may be aware, my back has been in a very bad flare for nearly four weeks now. It’s been getting steadily worse and on Monday I was pretty much at the despairing stage. It’s incredibly difficult to concentrate on important work stuff when you’re feeling that [...]
